Monday:
In the early afternoon we arrived at Bergen by plane. Then we had to take the ferry to the small town which was called Hoyanger. This boat trip took about three hours. Finally, when we arrived in Hoyanger our hosts picked us up and we had dinner at their school. The Norwegian students brought traditional food from their homes. After that we went home quite early because all of us were very exhausted because of the long trip.
Tuesday:
On Tuesday we went to school in the morning and we got a short presentation of program of the week. Then we tried to get to know each other better. One of our tasks was to talk to everyone who also took part in the project. After that the Norwegian students showed us their school. At lunch we walked to the office of the principal where we ate a typical Norwegian dessert. In the afternoon we went to the Industrial Museum. When we returned to school we solved our first task of the week and wrote the first essay.
In the evening we took a bus to a nearby city called Forde. For dinner we went to a special kind of pizzeria. After dinner we visited a game hall where we could play bowling or billiard.
Wednesday:
This day we went to an empty industry building. There we heard some different presentations by some companies an also the principal presented something. At lunch the asylum seekers cooked for us. They served traditional dishes from the countries they are from. In the afternoon we tried to solve some tasks which the guys from the companies gave us. Each group had to present their results.
In the evening we all met at school and we had a kind of movie and game night.
Thursday:
In the morning we took the bus to school because we had a lecture by Knut Roald which was called “The school of tomorrow”. After that we also got some tasks which we had to solve in groups. Finally, each group also presented their results. After that we went home in the late afternoon and had some free time.
Friday:
On Friday we went to school again and attended the normal classes. After that we went home and had some free time. In the evening the Norwegian students planned a kind of party for us.
