Many people leave their country to study or work abroad. In 2016-2017, there were around 24-25 thousand people from Norway that took their hole education abroad. In this text I am going to tell you some advantages of working and/or study in the EU, somewhere else than your own country.

If you study abroad, you will probably brush up on your language skills. You are Norwegian and go abroad to study, you have to speak English or an another language. When talking with another language that your mother tongue, your language skills will get better with the time. This will also happen if you work abroad. To improve language skills is good for other opportunities you will get further in life, like an another job or something.

Learning about other countries and/or cultures is also an important opportunity while studying or working abroad. To learn about other cultures make you understanding more of the world and why people live like they do, and are doing like they are doing. We can say that you get a bigger cultural understanding.

The potential to get new friends, and maybe friends for life, is a huge advantage with studying or working abroad. There are so many reasons why you should have a friend, but the most important is to have someone that you can talk with and trust on so that you won´t be alone. But anyhow, it is always good to have a friend for the social life.

There are many reasons to the advantages of working or studying abroad. I think the most important ones are that it brushes up your language skills, you will probably  learn about the country and different cultures as well, and you will also get new friends that maybe can be your friends for the rest of your life.
